Take a one hour guided walking tour of Hobart after dark through the eyes of a lighting professional. Learn how the lighting we add to our city impacts the way we use it and the environment around us. This tour is hosted by Landon Bannister, President, International Dark Sky Association Tasmania Inc and is included in your registration.
This one-hour walk will be hosted by members of the Australasian Dark Sky Association (ADSA) who will give a unique insight in to Hobart after dark. ADSA is the world’s premier organisation set up to fight light pollution- the inappropriate or excessive use of artificial light at night. As you wind your way through the Hobart streets you will experience various examples, both good and bad, of how electric lighting influences the way people interact with their city at night and the impact this is having on our planet.
